The requirements for this degree allow students to prepare for entry into the Ph.D. program in (applied) mathematics or for employment in teaching, business, industry, or government. Many graduate students earn this degree along the way to earning their Ph.D. in our doctoral program.
Students who successfully complete this program will be able to:
- Demonstrate mastery of graduate-level courses in mathematics covering a range of topics, including mathematical analysis, mathematical methods and modeling, computational mathematics, and operations research.
- Demonstrate mastery of graduate-level courses in at least one area outside of mathematics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a four year bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Submit a personal statement that should address your academic and research interests and future career goals
- Submit your resume that should include details about your education, employment, and internship history, as well as any pertinent research experience
- Submit two letters of recommendation from your supervisors, academic advisor, professors or research mentors
- GRE/GMAT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores

- TOEFL: minimum 88 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 110
- PTE: minimum 59
