Programs in architectural studies offered by The Design School at Arizona State University helps students understand architecture as both a cultural expression and technical achievement, and it offers an interdisciplinary approach to architecture.
Students are prepared for alternative practices with architecture firms and in related fields such as landscape architecture, engineering, art, construction, urban planning, urban design and historic preservation. Students craft the design and plan the construction of economically and ecologically sustainable built environments and communities. Students are rigorously trained on advanced design and digital prototyping, innovative building systems and new technologies, as well as in the research and advocacy of the expansive public role of architects within a broader civic dialogue and social justice aspirations.
