- The MS program in the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics is designed to enhance the scientific academic background of those students who are seeking professional degrees or a career in industry.

- In addition to the general requirements for the degree, the following departmental requirements must be met in attaining 30 credit hours with thesis. The plan of study must include six credit hours in MICR 5000 and one credit hour in MICR 5160.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must have a bachelor degree in a relavent field with GPA of 3.0.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation in a related discipline from recognised institution with GPA of 3.0.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Oklahoma State University (OSU) in the United States typically requires applicants to have completed a four-year bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
