Educational objectives of the program include:
- To prepare students as professional accountants in public practice or in business.
- To develop each student's intermediate proficiency in all technical competence areas of accounting generalists and to develop advanced proficiency in all technical competence areas of accounting generalists and to develop advanced proficiency in financial accounting & reporting and at least one other accounting technical competence area such as taxation, audit & assurance, accounting information systems, or managerial accounting.
This program is designed to be flexible, and accommodates students entering in the Fall, Spring, or Summer. There are several courses that are offered online, however most of our courses are offered in a face-to-face lecture format. Online class meetings meet the needs of working professionals, while face-to-face class meetings facilitate other forms of learning and development as well as addressing the requirements of the Texas Board of Public Accountancy and visa requirements of international students.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education and colleges attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES or AICE member agency
- Evaluation must contain course by course evaluation along with GPA
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for admission consideration
- Submit GRE score if GPA is less than 3.0
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; minimum 8 in Essentials
- IELTS: minimum score of 6
- PTE: minimum score of 53
- Duolingo: minimum score of 105
