Students in the civil engineering degree program at SLU's Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology are introduced to computer-aided design and other state-of-the-art-computational techniques during their freshman year.Our civil engineering students learn problem-solving techniques throughout their undergraduate careers, culminating in a two-semester capstone design sequence during which you'll become aware of the impact of design decisions, not only on the technical aspects of design but on society as a whole.Coursework incorporates the latest industry trends, as you explore three primary areas of focus:
- Green design and environmental engineering
- Infrastructure design, evaluation and restoration
- Transportation planning, analysis and design
Competitive summer internships and cooperative education programs are available. SLU's civil engineering students also are able to pursue independent study on a civil engineering topic under the direction of a faculty member.

Academic Requirements:
