Field of Study:
$39,078 /Yr
Students in CBU?s journalism program learn how to enhance their storytelling in multimedia content through writing, photography, videography and audio files, using social media to engage different audiences and publishing stories across a variety of traditional and digital platforms. Students may work on the nationally award-winning campus publications.
The field of journalism is evolving to coincide with advances in digital media, and CBU?s journalism program is keeping pace. This willingness and drive to grow, learn, question, adapt, expand and emerge are important qualities for journalism students and professionals. Majoring in journalism might be a good fit for you, if:
- You love to write, which is an integral part of newspapers, magazine and and Internet reporting, as well as radio and television broadcasting.
- You are naturally inquisitive, curious, and intent on getting to the bottom of things.
- You like to travel, love excitement, aren?t afraid to try new things, and greet people and cultures with an open mind.
- Telling to the bottom of people?s stories and telling them in a compelling way excites you.
- You don?t want to work in a 9-5 office environment as a journalist?s work is ?out there?s? where the people and stories are living and working.
