New undergraduates pay a non-refundable $200 (INR 19,178) Enrollment Confirmation deposit, which PSU also calls the tuition deposit. It unlocks New Student Orientation, your PSU ID card and class registration. Graduate programmes set their own rule, and your department tells you if a deposit applies.

The deposit does not trigger your Form I-20. PSU issues the I-20 once you upload proof of funds for one year: $51,813 (INR 49.68 Lakhs) for an undergraduate.

Methods of payment

• International wire transfer: started inside myPSU through CashNet/Transact and processed by TransferMate, PSU's international payment provider. It takes 4-5 business days, with live support 24/7.
• Credit or debit card: online only, with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. PSU advises telling your bank in advance when the card is issued outside the US.
• Forex card: works as an online card payment. It typically costs 2-3% less than a raw bank wire.
• Education-loan disbursement: your lender wires PSU through the same TransferMate route, or pays as an invited third-party payer in myPSU.
• E-check: needs a US bank account and takes 3-5 business days, so it suits later quarters.
• Cash or check: accepted in person at the Cashier's counter. Cards are not accepted in person.

Steps to pay the tuition fee for international students

1. Accept your offer in the applicant portal and upload financial documentation for one year of costs.
2. Receive your I-20 from PSU by email.
3. Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee of $350 (INR 33,562), then file the DS-160 visa form with its $185 (INR 17,740) fee.

Term charges are due in full by the first due date. The PSU Payment Plan is free and splits the bill into three equal instalments. Winter term dates are January 14, February 6 and March 6. Spring term dates are April 6, May 6 and June 6. Fall term dates are October 6, November 6 and December 6.

A 12-credit undergraduate first quarter bills about $10,899 (INR 10.45 Lakhs). That is tuition of $8,544 (INR 8.19 Lakhs), fees of $691 (INR 66,260), insurance of $1,189 (INR 1.14 Lakhs) and the $475 (INR 45,548) matriculation fee. On the plan it becomes three instalments of about $3,633 (INR 3.48 Lakhs). PSU offers no discount for paying the full year at once. Missing the first due date adds a $100 (INR 9,589) late fee and enrols you in the plan automatically.
