This is accomplished by creating opportunities for the acquisition and maintenance of knowledge, skills, and dispositions as prescribed by the Council for Exceptional Children, the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, and state and federal regulations. The master's degree education program in speech-language pathology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA), of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. The next CAA re-accreditation review will be in 2020. The program also is accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicant must have completed a bachelors degree in speech language pathology or communication disorders from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous educational institution attended
- Official transcripts must be evaluated course by course from WES, ECE or Educational Perspectives
- Submit a writing sample in form of academic paper
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Submit a personal fitness statement
- Submit a resume outlining educational background, employment history, research experience
- Submit a statement of purpose describing reason to pursue the program, preparation for this field, academic plans
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS; minimum 6.5
- PTE: minimum 53
- Duolingo: minimum 105
