We offer undergraduate and graduate programs that emphasize artistic individuality and the development of professional skills required for successful careers in dance performance, choreography and education. Our innovative curriculum integrates multiple dance disciplines and somatic practices, creating a learning environment that prioritizes a balance of body and mind knowledge with informed, creative expression.
The Performance & Choreography/Africa and the Diaspora track in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance prepares students to perform and create original dance choreography for theatrical productions. Africa and the Diaspora majors complete a rigorous technical and creative curriculum with a foundation in Africa and the Diaspora techniques with cross training in ballet and modern. African Track majors additionally study body/mind sciences, dance pedagogy, historical and cultural contexts for dance and the interactive collaboration skills necessary to bring dance to the theatre with a high degree of excellence.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit copies of transcripts of all the previous education
- Submit the official transcripts of the application after admission
- Transcripts should be translated into English before submitting
- ACT and SAT score is not mandatory but can be included
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; minimum 548 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 120
- Pearson academic: minimum 56
