Our program emphasizes strong student-faculty interaction, critical thinking, reasoning, and communication skills through classroom discussion, case studies, projects, and professional development opportunities. Through course work in areas such as financial statement analysis, forensic examination, advanced capital budgeting, and applied tax decision making, graduates of the Master of Science in Accounting program acquire the tools necessary to excel in their careers.

The 30 credit program includes core accounting classes and an array of electives that may be completed within one year. Beginning Fall 2014, Michigan Tech undergraduate students will be able to earn the Master of Science in Accounting degree with just 24 additional credits of study through our unique Accelerated Master's Program.

The Master of Science and Accounting program is an integral part of Michigan Tech’s School of Business and Economics, the first business program in Upper Michigan and northern Wisconsin to be professionally accredited by the AACSB—Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
