With an MAT in general education, students can earn multiple-subject endorsements to become an elementary school teacher or single-subject endorsement as a middle or high school teacher. Programs are available at our Forest Grove and Eugene campuses in full-time or hybrid formats.
The MAT in Special Education, also available in Forest Grove and Eugene, prepares students for an endorsement as a special education teacher. Programs are offered in a hybrid format that includes online and face-to-face coursework and practicum placements in our students' local school districts.
The MAT in STEM/ESOL, available only in Woodburn, is embedded in the Woodburn School District, where students gain experience serving diverse multilingual middle- and high-schoolers and earning endorsements as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics teachers.?
