The prospective music teacher will develop skills in musicianship and performance, in addition to learning to be a sensitive ensemble conductor. Students will gain knowledge in teaching music at a variety of levels to different age groups and in different settings, while developing a strong understanding of child growth and development. Learning to assess the progress of music students while acquiring the knowledge of excellent methods of teaching is essential to this program.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Official transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited agency such as ECE or WES
- Official transcripts must contain course by course evaluation showing that the applicant has achieved a high school diploma
- Submit a letter of recommendation attesting to the student’s ability to succeed in college and proficiency in college
- Submitting official SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 80 in IBT; 213 in CBT; 550 in PBT
