- The biomedical biology concentration at Messiah University is part of the biology major. Introductory courses in this concentration provide an overview of the breadth of biology. Advanced courses allow students to develop expertise in the function, structure, and regulation of organisms, organ systems, and individual cells. The biomedical concentration of the biology major will prepare students for admission to graduate programs in health (medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physician assistant, optometry, etc.); the basic sciences (neuroscience, physiology, biomedical sciences); or to obtain immediate employment in biomedical research.
