Twenty-two areas of specialization in the master's of science in education are offered—more choices in graduate education study than any other SUNY school. While teacher education remains a tradition, specialized graduate degree programs in art conservation, creative studies (courses on campus and online), adult education (program online), applied economics, and higher education student affairs administration are unique to SUNY.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of all previous education completed
- Official transcripts must complete a course by course evaluation from an accredited agency
- Applicants should have minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Applicants must have completed the following coursework: a. 3 credits in a biological science
b. 3 credits in the physical sciences
c. 3 credits in statistics
d. 3 credits in the social and behavioral sciences
e. SPF 202 Child Development and Education
f. SPF 302 Educational Psychology: Elementary Education
g. EXE 100 Nature and Needs of Individuals with Special Needs
h. SLP 401 Aural Rehabilitation
i. SLP 424 Speech-Language Pathology Programs in Schools - Submit a writing sample
- Submit three letters of recommendation that attest to the applicants potential as graduate student
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum score of 79 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS; minimum score of 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum score of 100
