The university promises hundred percent placements the students can rest assured. The university has some of the top recruiting companies like Xebia, HCL, Wipro etc. The university conducts placement drives every year. The placements provided here were great.
I choose BTech for my career security and I was having a keen interest in this field. The faculty to student ratio is approx 1:50. The faculty are supportive, well experienced, PhD and masters in their fields, they are very humble and help all of us throughout. There are 5 internal exams and one external examination for each subject every semester. The level of exams is moderate, the one who studies in class carefully can easily pass them. It's not much difficult.
After 6th semester students become eligible for placements and are provided with a number of options for employment. Some of the great opportunities are Amazon, TCS, IBM and various other. The highest package offered is 18 lakhs for Software Engineer and the average package remains between 3-8 lakhs. The students with a percentage greater than 75% are provided placements. After getting a degree my plan is to have masters in CS.
Students become eligible from 7th sem and training are given to them. Minor and major projects are made by students. Various companies visit the university starting from amazon to Byjus and then to Wipro and also many MNC's which given us a lot of chances to get hired. Many offers are made by the companies for all. The average package is 4 lakh p.a. This year the highest one was around 8 lakh p.a. The companies mainly demand the average sgpa to be more than 8 and with no active backlogs. My plans after the degree are to get a placement and do some higher studies too with the support of my company and their such programs.
I had a keen interest in computers and mathematics that's why I chose computer science. There is proper faculty for each section of all the departments. All the teachers who have done Ph.D. teaching methods are also cool.
B.Tech is the most inviting and exciting course. Basically, you will get your hand in a world of opportunities. you will get a chance to work with the biggest companies and with the most fastly emerging startups. It's a field to explore and study and invent. Basically, we have one faculty on every 40 students. It's a little precise as I haven't count the staff which is in our labs, academic center, library. The majority of teachers are having Ph.D. degrees in their field and are highly experienced. Even, if any new teacher arrives so New faculty is also very serious as they are given the motive to give their best to students. Faculty is most supportive, Not even in university, even after university, you can take guidance from them. In B.tech we have 4 years and 8 semesters (2 semesters in each year) In each semester, we have 5 Internal examinations for each subject and one final examination. Also, we have one internal and one external (final) examination for each lab.
Reason of choosing this college was I heard alot about this college and elder brother also studied from SRM University. SRM University is known for good placements and campus located in dehi ncr is good choice. On the other hand, SRM NCR campus area is not even par and for first six month is difficult as you're restricted from most of places in the campus. I applied for SRM JEE paper in March month and gave online test. I cleared the online test with a decent SRM JEE Rank and enrolled for admission by August month. My tution teacher referred to apply for this college as SRM University is a reputated private university in india.
From the start of the 8th semester, you are eligible for campus placements. Companies visited were HCL, Cognizant, BYjus, Juspay, Amazon, Airtel. Around more than 60% of students were placed. In my batch, the highest package was 12 LPA.
Location ( close to home) , Infrastructure(especially labs and computer system provided), placements (number of companies coming in the institute and how many students placed with good packages) , transport provided by the institute (college bus availability).
The placement was OK, they called companies for placements but companies didn't like us much so let's leave that aside. The number of companies was there but I'll say that it was not our best time as corona was on fleek. The highest package offered was 8Lpa in the sales department not quite sure about the percentage. My plan after degree is to join an intern in a good firm and work best on my career.
