The coding culture of college is great. And the many clubs are there if anyone want to learn something in the Development field.
Many Hackathons are organised in the college.

Dislikes

75 Percent attendance criteria. It is very hard to maintain attendance percent in the college.
College timings are also pretty bad. College starts at 9.00 AM and ends at 5.00PM. Students didn't get enough free time.

Placement Experience:

The placement thia year was not that good. Because many Companies doesn't visit our college this year. Many mass recruiters also were also missing. the highest package this year was around 19 LPA offered by CISCO. And avg package this year was around 6LPA. Only 60 percent students are placed this year till now. When it comes to me I'm mostly focused on off campus placements.

IET Lucknow is a dream!!

Firstly I will start with the faculties as that is what has made our college rank among the top.
Next would be the academics as they are competent to teach us all aspects of engineering.

Dislikes

Most students are still here from the state and therefore the cosmopolitan culture which we see in IITs is missing here.

Placement Experience:

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Google, TCS and likewise many others are a part of our core group placements. All of them come with a requirement of at least 10-15 students each and thereby making sure that maximum students or let's say each one of us have placements in dream companies. A record breaking 49 lakhs was offered to one of our seniors and that itself speak on the kind of placements we have at IET.

To make sure that Industry standards are met our course is updated regularly.
Our marks are evaluated on assessments of internals and finals and thereby making it a fair competition.

Dislikes

Hostels aren't that good and even after multiple complaints, nothing has changed.

Placement Experience:

Placement are quite good here as numbers are heavy but still we get good enough placements. The average shifted in last one or two years from 8 lakhs per annum to 10 lakhs per annum. Highest package was of 36 LPA that happened last year and that is why the median has also shifted upwards.

It is an autonomous college hence we don't have to go to other colleges to give our semester exams.
Our papers also get checked within the campus by our own teachers which helps us to maintain our cgpa

Dislikes

It's attendance criteria is 85% and they are very strict about it.
They always asks for fine even for very minor things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose artificial intelligence and machine learning because it has the highest futuristic scope in the coming time. It is pretty average..you have to prepare everything on your own. Teaching methods can be improved ..they teach us a lot in very less time so the basics are not clear.

The professors are supportive and helpful and are friendly to the students
College life is chill, Batchmates are also amazing

Dislikes

Girl to Boy ratio is not that good , in the class of 79 Students only 10 are girls
75% attendance is mandatory which I think is not good as the college should be more chill

Placement Experience:

Placements in college are decent, The average package is about 7 lpa which is great for an AKTU college and coding culture of our college is quite good which helps students in getting good off campus placements and internships Here at IET you can start applying for placements from 6th semester and many times students get PPO from various companies and firms

Infrastructure is good. Cafeteria is there which is aesthetic and decent. You have a huge ground for any kind of sports fest
Labs are decent, you can go there and use them at the time of practical.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities are very low as compared to othere colleges like gl bajaj and niet
Fests are not so good, they only call low artists who you even don't know.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course offers wide range for you to get placement in you dream company, also the packages btech offers is commendable. In Btech you get to know more about the real world problems like in website the problems you face are resolved and developed here only, it gives us all the wonderful ways to know how any system work at client side and server side both. The curriculum should focus more on the skills that are asked by the companies either huge or small or mass recruiter. Like DSA with proper coding should be there, aptitude reasoning and quants should be there and only required core subjects should be there. The course which we get in btech is of no use as per the work you get in office. Only your 2nd n 3rd year subjects are somewhere useful. Else I'll suggest you focus more on dsa, web development and core subjects like OS, COA, etc.

The campus is very aesthetic, everything place is well maintained
The performance of training and placement department in placement season

The faculty of 2nd ,3rd and fourth year are not more interested in teaching passionately
The environment is so competitive such that it will make you feel insecure

The curriculum is very planned for practical knowledge as well and the execution is also good As they provide so many opportunities, they have collaborated with nvidia, they provide you well equipped labs, ios labs They conduct various hackathons , coding tests, and also they provide very effective practical training of coding concepts for every student

Placement Experience:

The best thing of my college is the placement, they used to know because of its placement, after clearing 2nd year you can sit in the placement activities through internships and after third year you will be eligible for the the placement activities, i think more than 90 percent student have been placed from 2024 batch and i am in 2025 batch and more than 30 percent student already have been placed in three months of 4th year.

Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University isn’t a good option for pursuing technical courses. The curriculum followed by the institute is outdated. You will only learn the theoretical aspects of engineering. It doesn’t offer the practical hands-on experience students require to excel in the technical field.

Most students usually get placed in the IT sector, irrespective of their branches. The highlights of recent AKTU placements show the average package offered by the institute to be around INR 2-3 LPA.
