At this Modern Languages Audio-Visual from University of Birmingham, you will work with supervisors and technicians to develop your practice-based project, using our editing suite and equipment.

You will be co-supervised by staff in Modern Languages and Film and Creative Writing. The Audio-visual PhD enables you to make an original contribution to the discipline of history, film and television preparing you for careers in media and/or academia

Previous experience of filmmaking is welcome in applicants, but experience is not a requirement for admission Ð the required skills are included in the programme of study. Aptitude for this course of study will be discussed with applicants as part of the application process.Ê
