- The University of Plymouth BSc (Hons) Horticulture (Plant Science) focuses on the structure and chemistry of soil, its role as a rooting medium, and the importance of soils for mineral nutrition in plant growth
- In this program, you will introduce the student to the basic metabolic and synthesis processes of living plant cells and look at plant cell biology and how this determines the overall structure of the plant
- This program will introduce and draw upon contemporary academic practice to help students prepare for higher education study
- The ecological impact of climate change on plants and their interactions with other organisms is discussed
- The program allow the student to critically engage with and discuss issues around sustainability and enterprise management within the horticultural industry
