English Language andÊLinguistics is an ideal complement to subjects where an understanding of how language works is important. Language powers drama and plays a central role in everything we as human beings do.Ê

This programme explores the many facets of language, allowing you to tailor your studies to suit your individual interests and possible career paths. While the focus will be on English, you will also explore the meaning of language more generally, and discover what language systems have in common.
