Placements
Unique among Accounting and Finance courses in Scotland, in Year 3 students will have the opportunity to undertake a year-long, paid work placement. Placements are typically in an Accounting or Finance position within a professional accounting firm or the accounting or finance department of a larger organization within specialist function areas such as Audit or Tax. Students will undertake two academic modules by distance learning whilst on placement.
Previous placements have included ConocoPhillips, Deloitte, and TAQA. Some of our students do so well in their placements that they are offered a job by their placement employer to return to the organization after graduation.
The Placement Office team advertises opportunities and also works closely with employers through the selection process.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
Students must have the following requirements:
- SQA Higher: ABBB
- GCE A Level: BBC
- Irish Leaving Certificate: H2H2H2H3
- IB Diploma: 29
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Students must have passed 12th grade from a recognized institution.
- Students must have Grade C or better in English and Maths.
- A post-high school qualification (i.e. a higher national diploma, an associate degree) can be considered for advanced entry to undergraduate courses. Applications will be considered on a case by case basis
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
