- The Master´s degree program in Biotechnology from ETH Zurich provides a scientific education in biotechnology with a focus on systems biology and synthetic biology.
- Together with a mentor, students create an individual study plan that allows for a flexible choice of courses. In addition to selected core and advanced courses, electives in biotechnology-specific topics also serve to broaden knowledge in related subject areas.
- Familiarity with scientific working methods and in-depth insights into current research topics are achieved through project work, e.g. research projects. The program is completed with an eight-month master's thesis in a current research topic.
- The Master's degree qualifies for advanced development activities in biomedical research and development, the pharmaceutical industry and diagnostics, the chemical industry, the food and feed industry, biotechnological apparatus and plant engineering and the corresponding sectors of public administration, associations and consulting.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Natural Sciences, or other disciplines with a strong theoretical-mathematical background.
- A minimum background in biology, mathematics, and computer science.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- A strong research proposal.
- Applicants must have a good command of English. They must submit a certificate of English proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL.The minimum required level is C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

- Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or a related field from a recognized university. Transcripts must be translated into English or German and must be certified by an authorized translator.
- Applicants must have a valid language certificate in German or English. The minimum required level is B2 for German and C1 for English.
