- The Master of Science in Biology at ETH Zurich has the goal to convey the biological concepts and practical skills necessary in different areas of biology .
- A special emphasis is placed on experimental research. During the programme students complete two research projects – 12 weeks each – and a Master’s thesis (six months). Aside from the practical work, students attend specific lectures, tailored to the different specializations.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor's degree in Biology, with 180 ECTS credits in the subject of biology, or an equivalent university degree in a discipline the content of which – also with regard to any additional academic requirements within the given framework satisfies the pertaining academic prerequisites
- A certificate of English proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL
- A personal statement that describes your motivation for studying Biology at ETH Zurich and your academic and professional achievements
- Two letters of recommendation from professors or other academic professionals who can attest to your academic abilities and potential for success in the Master's program
Required Document List
- Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field from a recognized university. Transcripts must be translated into English or German and must be certified by an authorized translator.
- Applicants must have a valid language certificate in German or English. The minimum required level is B2 for German and C1 for English.
- Applicants must submit a CV that summarizes their academic and professional experience
- Applicants must submit their GRE test scores
