- The objective of the Master´s Programme in Sociology is to provide students with the ability to do independent analyses of social issues using sociological theories and sociological methods.
- The programme consists of compulsory courses with 45 credits, elective courses with 45 credits, and a Master´s thesis with 30 credits.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related subject from a recognized university.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Career and Placement after Course
Sociologists have a broad labour market both within the private and the public sector. A sociological education will help one develop analytical skills in the form of theory as well as both quantitative and qualitative research methods. These skills will make him able to investigate social issues, and to assess, evaluate and perform surveys on social phenomena.
This program also provides the students with a good foundation for applying for a Ph.D. position after graduation.
