Remarks :

Our college has good lab facilities but the faculties are not better.they are not experienced. The college donot have a good campus but it provide enough freedom for students. Our college provide variety courses like food technology biotechnology etc.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It has an excellent course curriculum and excellent exam structure.exams are conducted daily on the first hour. Monthly internals are held.also model exam are conducted before semester exams.these exams are also conducted for practicals.

Placement Experience :

There is placement provided by college (but not 100 percentage),many of the students where appointed to many companies. It is must to obtain 46 days total internship days within 4 years. College provide Bona fide certificates for internship.they also provide packages for IV (industrial visit).

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Some courses are very expensive (like food technology petrochemical etc. They also have donation if the mark is less than 90), other courses are feasible and is affordable. Food technology have a fee structure of 1.25 lakh per year.

Fees and Financial Aid :

I am students from kerala so that the scholarships are not available for me so itself iam not much aware of the courses but certain scholarship are provided from the college. Educational loan facilities are also provided in college.

Campus Life :

Our college has good lab facilities available when compared to near by colleges.also many workshop and internship opportunities are provided from the college.there are many seminars and others programes are conducted. Sports day is also conducted in our college

Hostel Facilities :

I am not a hostel student but I heard that the food is not much satisfying. They are buying 50,000 rupees for a year but the facilities are not much good, most of my friends opted out to take room out due to bad food.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

We where the third batch of the food technology in our college. The first batch passed out 2 years before.When we enquired we came to know that most of them got placement in many of the companies after the completion of their courses.

Admission :

I viewed the ad in a newspaper and about the course. So I came along with my parents to the college for taking admission.At that day we visited the college and the lab facilities. Then we payed the donation amount a that day (only for marks below 90%)and confirmed admission.

Faculty :

The faculties are not much experienced.most of the facilities leaves the college after getting 1 year experience and some time there are no facilties for handling some subjects.but there are now enough faculties.

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .

At VIT Chennai, students become eligible for campus placements starting from their 6th semester, with placement training beginning in the 5th semester.
