- One of the best campus life of an University in Pune.
- Experienced, polite and helpful faculty.
Dislikes
- Many illogical subjects in first, which frustrates students.
- More emphasis on research-oriented learning.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Curriculum initially is much related to 12th which gives you to catch up with the subjects easily. Core subjects should be introduced initially along with physics, chemistry etc. Teaching of faculty of core subjects is unbelievable, some faculty is too good. Like my DSA ma'am named Sharmistha Desai Maam is fabulous in DSA, and her way of teaching is too good and we understand every concept. Exam difficulty level is not too high and time is like 1.5 hours for 40 marks exam, which I think is good enough.
Placement Experience :
Placements are offered by our college. Average placement of MIT WPU is 7 - 7.5 LPA. Highest package of 2024 was 52 LPA. Accenture, Amazon, American Express, Apollo Tyres Ltd, HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL), HDB Financial Services Ltd., HDFC Asset Management Co Ltd, Hindustan Times, Hindustan Zinc, Hitachi Vantra, Holcim Group, HSBC Technology India, IBM, ICICI Bank Ltd, and many more companies visit here. Placements rate is about 80%. I will try for on-campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Overall course fee of Btech CSE (4 years) is Rs. 1420000 which is about Rs. 350000 per annum. I personally think the fees is bit high because other colleges offers same course more affordable. There is no fee concession for management quota or any reservations(such as ST, SC, OBC etc).
Campus Life :
The campus is well-equipped with modern facilities, including spacious classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and sports infrastructure. The lush green environment provides a pleasant atmosphere for students. Numerous extracurricular activities, cultural events, and student clubs keep campus life vibrant. There are number of clubs in MIT WPU in which students can apply and join. There are many extra curriculum activities in campus such as sports like cricket, football, basketball etc.
Admission :
I found MIT WPU's campus life much better than any other colleges in Pune. The crowd is good, people living there are standard and number of messes are there for hostel students. A student can take direct admission from MIT WPU official website from their MHT-CET, or JEE scores on merit.
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio is 1:21. Faculty relationship is pretty good as I said they are understanding and helpful, they listen your problem and tries to a give solution to it. So, in first year there was a physics faculty named Prasad Sir. He was very close to us and very friendly. Exams in MIT WPU is pretty easy. If you will study 1 week prior, then also you will be able to achieve 8.5+ gpa, which I think is good. First year curriculum is not much relevant, but from second year subjects are based on core CSE like DSA, OOP, MMA etc.
Night Life :
At night everything is closed. So, one can roam inside the campus itself or can go to eat food which very commonly found in Kothrud at night, where this college is situated. There are gyms, swimming pools, tennis court nearby.
