Course Curriculum Overview :
VIT is well-known as a top college, with its law school ranked 6th among law colleges in India and 1st among private law colleges in Tamil Nadu. The syllabus is designed to align with the patterns of National Law Universities (NLUs), ensuring that students receive a solid foundation in law. Exams are manageable
Fees and Financial Aid :
So the fees here are quite low as compared to other colleges for a law degree every year it costs me rs190000, during the first year I paid Rs.192000 as 2000 is a caution deposit and there are no any other fees to pay my batch mates also paid the same, scholarship you can avail if you have got state rank in 12th or the entrance exam or district 1st so it depends and there are other ways to get scholarship according to your family income once you enter college u will be provided with that details,
Campus Life :
There are over 50 clubs you can join to improve yourself and contribute to the club. You can hold positions such as president, vice president, and more. We also have TechnoVIT and Vibrance, which are major festivals at our college that involve all individual students and clubs. Additionally, you have the opportunity to become an overall coordinator or a central committee head for organizing these significant events at our college.
Admission :
In my CLAT exam I got Nagpur NLU, but my wish is to do UG in Tamilnadu and PG in other states or country it depends what I choose further,i have applied for Sastra and SOEL since I got VIT offer letter before those and I liked the college also i joined VIT at the end iam here
Faculty :
Faculty student relationship is very good as we have supportive faculties who help us in all way and each student have a proctor so whatever helps proctor will help you out , there are some faculties who are bit egoist but you can get to learn lot but in general everyone are so sweet and supportive , and help you with research papers, patent works, competition and etc.
Night Life :
We have a good cafeteria on campus, although some other cafeterias are unhygienic. We have raised a complaint, and we hope action will be taken. Our library is air-conditioned, and every month, new books are added for all departments. Outside the college, there are many spots to explore, like ECR and OMR, which are near Chennai. Students can roam freely, but if you are a hosteller, you will need permission from the hostel authorities. Weekend outings are allowed for 6 hours, while weekday outings are limited to 3 hours, and the curfew is quite strict. If you exceed the allotted time, there will be consequences, such as contacting your parents and possible confiscation of ID cards by student welfare. However, it’s comforting to know that the college places a strong emphasis on student safety and security, especially since it's located in a more isolated area. Overall, it’s a good environment.
