- Good environment for studies.Obviously since this is an IIT the people around you are all studious and multitalented people
- Good alumni relations and experiences and helpful seniors
Dislikes
- The schedule is very much hectic here.Always we are in a rush
- Our class continue till 7 Pm which makes it sometimes annoying and irritating
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite decent.Since my branch is mechanical engineering,it includes several real world applications.In fact in our daily lives we always need the support and help and use the things made by mechanical engineers.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship facilities of IIT Patna are also nice.In internships for the 3rd yr,the girls get their internships done during the end of the 2nd yr i.e end of 4th semester while the boys have it at the end of 5th semester. Companies include Flipkart,Google,Amazon,sprinklr,tata,Mahindra,Infosys and any other big companies you can think of
Placement Experience :
The placements of my college are also quite nice.It was also one the main reasons of me choosing this college.The average package considering all the branches is about 20lpa and also we have a great alumni network and good placement and I ternship facilities
Fees and Financial Aid :
Year wise fees was about 2 lakhs which was the tution fees and including everything like mess and hostel and other insurance related things it will be about 3 lakhs per annum or 1.5 lakhs per semester for the general or obc people. For the sc and st they dont need to give the tution fees of 2 lakhs.They need to pay only the hostel and mess fees
Campus Life :
We have our annual fest named Anwesha and have two other big fests namely celesta which is the tech fest and infinito which is the sports fest.Other than this we have reverberence which is the diwali fest and also several other fests like seva utsav by nss and mamu other fests organised by several other clubs of the institute
Hostel Facilities :
We have 4 hostels for the btech people.In which one is for the first year boys.Another has 3 wings in which one wing is for the 2nd yr boys,another for 3rd yr boys and another for 1st yr girls.And we have another hostel which is for the 4th yr boys and another for the 2nd,3rd and 4th yr girls.The mess food is really good
Admission :
I had to give Jee advanced to get into IIT and as per as my rank I had several options but I chose IIT Patna since I was getting a good branch than in the other IITs.Also the average package was nice and the campus was good.Also the seniors as I heard earlier were quite nice and the campus was ragging free.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is quite nice here.Most of the teachers are helpful and whenever you have any sort of doubt we can contact them through email or schedule a meeting time with them. There are midsem and endsem in a semester and several quizes and tutorial submissions which continues throughout the semester
Night Life :
The campus is quite big about 501 acres.Therefore it consists of everything that one can need to enjoy in their regular life starting from gym,Nescafe,night canteen,food court and many other things.If we talk about night life just roaming in the campus is all you need and sufficient for hangouts.
