- Although taxis are available at the college gate all the time and the college has a fixed bus schedule to help with commuting.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The B Tech curriculum is well designed, focusing mainly on core engineering subjects, which account for 160 credits. These subjects provide a strong foundation in engineering, and cover most of the syllabus of GATE exam. While the core subjects are very relevant, I think the curriculum could benifit from more interdepartmental courses. Right now, there are some non-professional subjects that don't directly relate to the degree. Replacing them with courses that combine different engineering fields would help us understand how all branches of enineering work together in real life projects. We have 3 written exams for each subject and 2 practical each lab.
Internships Opportunities :
The college offer internship with various companies and also in campus summer internship for some students. Interns receive stipends, working on realt-world projects like app development and data analytics.
Placement Experience :
Placements begin from the 7th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture visit for hiring. Around 70%-80% of students get placed each year. Companies offer roles in software development, IT services, and consulting. The number of offers varies annually based on demand. Highest package is around 18 to 20 LPA , The average is between 5 to 6 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Tution fee for each semester I paid is ranging from 96000 (in 1st sem) to 127050 (in 7th sem), also during registration 10000 will be taken as cautiion money and will be returned after completion of degree. In addition to tution fee my I also have to pay for hostel which is 80000 and 7500 extra if single room is availed per semester. Another recurring expence is the annual contribution to JYC (Joint Youth Committee) for the university cultural activities, which is 1200 per year. This fee supports the organization of the anual fest and other related fests.
Campus Life :
Campus life is vibrant, with numerous social activities, clubs and events. The peaceful setting and green surroundings provide a relaxed environment for both academics and extracurricular pursuits. The library offers wide range of books, journals and online resources, including research papers and e-books. It's accessible to all students. Classrooms are well-equiped with modern technology, including projectors, smart boards, and high-speed speed internet. The campus offers volleyball, football, table tenis, badminton and basketball along with extracarricular activities like dance, drama, music and debate.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel offers shared rooms with all basic aminities required. Meals are good but repetitive with menu shuffling every month. Nearby PGs are also availabe at affordable price but have to seperatly make arrangements for food.
Admission :
I chose this college because it is close to my hometown. Additiionaly the fees is more affordable compared to other private colleges. The quality of education and campus facilities were also strong, making it a practical choice
Faculty :
The faculty are generally approchable and provide proper attention to all students. Professors are available for extra help outside class, making it easy to clarify doubts. Some professors are truly insightful, with deep knowlege of their subjects, and they make learning more enganging. The course is well organised, combining theory with practical work like labs and projects. The curriculum covers essential concepts, although it could be updated more frequently to include emerging trends. Exams include T-1 for 15 marks, T-2 for 25 marks and finally T-3 35 marks making total of 100 marks per subject. Mostly all exams are easy but few 1 or 2 subjects are little hard but most of students can easily pass them. Also core subjects comes with lab work and having two practiacl exam, one mid-sem and other end-sem with a project submission related to subject.
Night Life :
Campus nightlife is calm, with the main gate closing at 8 PM in summer and 7:30PM in winter. Hostel timings are strict, with 1st year boys out until 9:30 PM. The timings can be overseen if outpass is signed by warden. The gym is inside each hostel and closes by 11 PM, cafeteria is also open till 11 PM , 12 during exams. Popular hangout spots include cafeteria, temple in campus. The locality is safe and students often go out in groups for late night snacks overall campus life is more focused on academics with. limited nightlife.
