- The large infrastructure was a real shock to me. And the best part, we are provided with busses and little electric powered vehicles throughout the day
- The professors are really helpful and approachable. I did my research paper under one, and she was helpful, and we published it together and received a grant.

- In such a large and diverse place, things can get overwhelming at first. So, it's necessary to move with the place.
- Large infrastructure, so yes it comes with lots and lots of walking! Although we have busses but not all day long.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum for the first year is almost the same for every Btech branch, which is good cause it teaches the core engineering subjects along with Physics, Chemistry, Maths-1 and 2. Then of course moving forward the specilaization of the department takes on with specific subjects. Me being from CSE department had subjects surrounding coding like OOPS, DBMS, DSA, Clould Computing and many more. Overall the subjects seem relevant.
Placement Experience :
KIIT offers 100% with all students getting placed with an average package of 8 lakhs per annum. Usually, students are eligible from the end of 6th semester for campus placements. Till now we have had over 113 companies visit us this fall with companies such as Deloitte, Infosys, YugaByte, Junglee Games, KPMG, GoComet, and many more with the highest package offered to be 52 lakhs per anum. I plan to work as a software engineer after getting my degree!
Fees and Financial Aid :
Registration fees: FREE Admission fees: 70,000 Yearly basis: 5Lakhs Tuition Fees per semester wise: 2,42,000 The detailed fee structure would consist of 5Lakhs yearly. While applying for this college the individual needs to take KIITEE exams and the top rankers get scholarships with some relaxation in the "Tuition Fees". Registration fees during my time were 70,000 which entitles you to a college laptop as well.
Campus Life :
The campus life here in KIIT is quite fun. And the reason is due to its diversity, we have students from Nepal, Syria, Nigeria, America, and all the states of our own country. Annually we have KIIT FEST and every month we have some events going on; be it a Technical event, musical, or theatrical. KIIT offers programs to athletes who compete for our country and on a yearly basis organizes and hosts KHELO INDIA in KIIT premises.
Admission :
I applied to various colleges and I got into VIT, MIT, and KIIT. I chose this college cause of its large infrastructure and the 100% placements that they guarantee. I got rejected from a few colleges as well like BITs Pilani and BIT sindri. I think the reason I couldnt make it was I didnt fully understand the exam patterns which landed me a few options for my Btech. For the Admission procees here in KIIT, you need to take KIITEE exams in an offline mode. It's completely free and once you get selected, within a span of a week you will need to complete the registrations.
Faculty :
From my personal knowledge, KIIT is overflooded with professors and they seem to work just fine! The faculty here is really humble and listens to what the student has to say. Some of the faculties that I loved learning from were Sir Amulya Ratna Swain and Miss Ispita Paul. Every semester we have two exams, MID SEMS(20) and END SEMS(50). The examination level is decent, although sometimes it can be a little tricky but nothing un-doable.
Night Life :
KIIT has 20+ cafeterias and it has some amazing food, being sarcastic here; Of course the food is decent but that's what adds up to our college life. We have gyms all over the campus and 15+ hostels with boys' hostel "King's Palace" and girls' hostel "Queen's Castle". The entire locality here is KIIT, so yes it's safe for students to have an amazing time. Campus Timings are hybrid so it depends on the type of timing you choose. We have the liberty to choose the faculty and the section!
