- The central library of the college was really good along with the infrastructure but the environment was not so good.
- The garden of the university is worth watching along with the iconic seven pillars of wisdom.

- I disliked the students were very liberal and used to bunk classes alot
- Political involvement of the students because of elections.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was preparing for medical exams but I couldnt get through so I joined in zoology but I dont regret it now. The course curriculum was really good and helpful as it taught alot which I have applied in my PhD career as I have learned alot of techniques from the University. Some subjects need more focus as the ones which are in need right now. Those subjects should be taught appropriately and more focus should be put on student career development.
Fees and Financial Aid :
I had paid 2500 during admission and semester fees was less tha 1000 rupees. Tution fees was very less and semster fees included everything. There was not scholarship available. But students who did BSC BEd had to pay around 60000 annually as it was self finance.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure and involvement in co-curricular activity was really good. Students were very much involved in in activites other than academics. The annual function and convocation ceremony was conducted massively. The library in our college Kanika library is one of the largest library having ebooks facility to more than 5000 books and journal access. The classrooms were bit boring because no new technology for teaching has not been implemented.
Admission :
I had applied for RIE, BJB college but my selection in Ravenshaw came first. RU is an old university so I joined there as many people suggested me that the course at RU was really good. I had just missed RIE by one mark so I had to join RU. the admission process was through merit. And some colleges admitted students through exam and the exam were but tough. RU cuttoff was really high at my time.
Faculty :
For every 7 students there was one faculty so teacher to student ratio was 1:7. I used to like Lipika Pattnaik madam as she was really good at studies and she was punctual and non-biased. There were few faculties who were really biased so I didn't like them much. Almost 6 semseters were there which included 4 subjects each. The exams were really tough and strictly conducted along with practical exam and viva. The course curriculum is really nice and relevant as a student can learn alot.
Night Life :
The college provides its own gym for girls as well as boys, cafeterias are not good. There is no canteen in the college and hotels near the campus is really not that good. Evening life is nice as there are some shops outside that serves good food. The hostel ars okay and for girls the time limit is till 7 pm. Library are open 24x7 for boys.
