Course Curriculum Overview :

The 9 paper exemption of ACCA course is what influenced my decision to choose the course in this college. They prepare us for the advanced papers by teaching us the 9 papers. The course curriculum also provides many presentations and roleplays to be done as internal assessment. It will help us adapt to the workplace meeting environment. The college decided to conduct semester 2 classes before the end semster examination of semester 1, which is not very optimal as students will be forced to focus on both the semesters at the same time and it may create time management issue.

Placement Experience :

We are probably eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Since i am in my first year, i did not visit any companies or get any offers. I don't know much about the packages offered by companies. The percentage of students getting placements in 27%. My plan after getting a degree is to get 3 years of work experience to become an ACCA affiliate and to work as a financial manager for a top company.

Fees and Financial Aid :

1st year - 215000 2nd year - 205000 3rd year - 225700 4th year - 225700 Total course fees - 871400 The other batchmates share the same range of annual fees. There are many companies offering scholarship for students of this college such as Google, Tata, HDFC, etc.

Campus Life :

Some annual festivals include Deeksharamban which starts a couple of days after the semester 1 started, Splendore which happens in the beginning of december, there are freshers' day programmes happening around august. There is a library with 3 floors including a lab. Rajagiri also provides a e-library service on their website. The classroom consists of a smartboard to display educational material. I do not know much about the sports or extracurricular activities offered by the college. There are many clubs run by students such as entrepreneurial club, ethical scholars club, leadership club, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There are three types of rooms provided, single room, double sharing, and triple sharing. There is bathroom for each room. Breakfast is not really that good, lunch is provided in campus which is alright and dinner is okay. Friday is the only non-vegetarian lunch of all days. Most days they give rice and fish. Triple sharing is the cheapest of all, with double sharing being more expensive and single room being most expensive. The fees range around 100000. There are PG's around the hostel locality where students can live.

Admission :

I was searching for a college that offered the ACCA course in Kerala, however, there were not many in Kerala that offered ACCA course. The few that did have it did not have as great a reputation as Rajagiri. I also chose Rajagiri because of the 9 paper exemption which were offered by little to no colleges in India. I have also applied for Christ University, Kristu Jayanti, and St. Joseph which were all in bangalore. I did not get confirmed admission from Christ university. I didn't choose Kristu Jayanti or St. Joseph because it was not optimal for transport. I got rejected from Christ because i failed the entrance exam for that college. There were rumours about the cutoff percentage in rajagiri being 90, however that is not true, there are students studying in Rajagiri that got well below 90. However most of the students did get 90 above in their 12th grade examinations

Faculty :

In this college, BCom is not offered alone, it always comes with a add-on course. For ACCA, there is a 9 paper exemption and the last 4 papers should be written. They give training for the 9 papers though. For BCom, there are 2 semester in each of the 4 years. Each semester, there are two internal exams to assess your knowledge and an end semster examination. They also offer a multi disciplinary course. Faculty members are good teachers and they are ready to offer help to any student who is willing to ask doubts in class or outside class.

Night Life :

There is gym inside the campus that students can go to for free and also a open gym. There are three cafeterias, two of which are called Cloud Nine and Skypiea. A library with three floors and there is also a spot of friends to hangout called the Amigos. For social hostel, the curfew is 6:00 to 20:30. The class starts at 9:00 and ends at 4:30. Only in tuesdays and first and third saturdays of a month are half days and classes go only till 12:40. There are many small cafes outside the hostel and campus where students can hangout. The locality is probably safe.

Placement Experience:

The placement packages here are comparatively low. The average packages start from about 200000-300000 per annum . It depends on the course you take. The hotel management department is placed at a very high package .

The curriculum is based on adapting new skills and enhancing practical knowledge instead of theoretical knowledge. The curriculum moulds a student for real world applications or further academic pursuits. The exams question papers are made in netural basis

Placement Experience:

i am currently on 2nd semester. In my knowledge the campus placements happens during the 5th or 6th semester. There are many companies visited and many no. of offers from different companies. Companies such as HDFC bank, VI, Airtel, Apollo, Colgate, DHL, etc. According to the report, 99 UG and 277 PG students were placed during RCSS placements 2023. The median package offered to the UG students was INR 6,05,000 per annum. According to the reports, 27% students in UG courses secured placements as on June 30, 2024. After getting the degree, I plan to pursue higher education by doing MBA in a renowned good college and along withh that focus on being an ACCA affiliate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course to know more about business and investments. The curriculum involves a wide variety of courses related to these topics. It gives a good idea about what happens in business world, the securities market, what and all should be done to start a business and how to succesful in them. Various workshops, seminars etc are conducted for this purpose. The exams should be slowed down and the students should be given more time to prepare.
