- Most of the time I felt like teachers are not interested in teaching, one of the major reasons of such could be absence of students in classrooms.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had choose the curriculam Bachelors of Commerce, as I always had in my mind to be a Chartered Accountant, wherein the syllabus in CA is such vast that students may hardly get time to prepare for other curriculum, so B.com is one of the best alternative to be done alongwith CA, where there's no load relating attendance and syllabus.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Year wise fess were ranging from 5000 to 7000 for opting to bachelors of commerce, whereas people opting to other courses their fees structure were way high tha ours like BAF students fees were starting from 40000, this fees were around 8 years back, the current fees structure might have incresed which I am unaware of.
Campus Life :
We used to have 2 college events every year one named O2 and the other as RAY film festival. In O2 many intercollege activities were conducted and a huge number of colleges participate whereas RAY film festival were all about filming and photography with a bit of entertainment for students. Books and Journals were very easily accessible projectors were installed in every classrooms with updated technolgies used in education
Admission :
Our College campus was one of the best in Mumbai, the major reason I applied to Bhavans college is only because of it's enormous campus and it's crowd. while I was applying for colleges I got selected in the colleges I applied but Bhavans was way better than others in terms of everything.
Faculty :
We had around 3 faculties for a particular subject, the ratio was above average, faculties were very approaching they were interested in students queries and always tried explaining us with suitable examples and practical experiences to get a through understanding. Environmental studies professor were one of the best, sorry I am unable to recollect his name, but he was the only one where the all students used to attain his lecture and classrooms were usually full, just like me many other students liked him because the grip he has on the subject and his explainations towards any particular topic excits each and every student, even though a subject like environment studies where most of the students ignores such subject, we used to love the subject only because of him.
Night Life :
Gymkhana , Libraries and public area usually closes at the time when the college wrap up after finishing all its classes thats around 6:30 pm. In timings starts from 6:30 am onwards famous hangouts place were silver beach, versova beach, anderi sports complex and nearbr carnival cinema
