Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is same as other NITs which is pretty old and oudated and could have been way better. It is not relevant for today's world and you need to develope skills on your own to land a good and high paying job
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are good, companies like Adobe, Microsoft, AMD, Intel, and others hire students, around 20% of the students get internship. The stipend varies around 10-35k depending on the company
Placement Experience :
The placements are good in NOT Raipur, around 70% of the students get placed easily and the lowest is around 4 LPA, and average around 7 LPA and highest around 65 LPA. The internship opportunities are good and around 20% get internship
Fees and Financial Aid :
Tution fee for course is 145000 per year and the hostel fee is 35000. Where as there are several scholarships available based on caste, merit, and income hence one can almost study for free at NIT Raipur and college promotes scholarship
Campus Life :
The campus life is boring as the gates of hostel close around 9 PM AND college gate closes at 10 PM. so there is no night life or campus life. Otherwise in day time too there are many gaurd so the campus life is dull apart from the fests
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel and mess food is good but the hostels are very limited and given to only few students. In first year hostel is given on the basis of distance and percentile. And in second year hostel is alloted on the basis of CPI
Admission :
NIT Raipur has very slow paced life unlike collages in big cities and hence some may dislike it but I on a personal level love it for the simple and charming and easy going environment. There is no showy lifestyle here, and this was the reason I chose NIT raipur
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is good and the faculty is very good. The exams are held very quickly but they are really easy and not that difficult. The questare directly asked from the PYQs and are very easy
Night Life :
There is no nightlife because the college gate closes at 10 PM. This can be improved. If you want a night life so you better take a hostel outside college campus otherwise you'll be bound here and have a dull college life.
