My soe

Dislikes

  • Some of the teachers are very strict. They did not teach perfectly but they want perfect answers from students.
  • The fee structure is more expensive than other engineering govt colleges
+ 1 More

Course Curriculum Overview :

The main plus point of this course is many govt jobs are there for civil engineering students. The curriculus is saisfactory. But need to improve more. Also the completion of 6 monthcourse in 3-4 months and 2 internal exam in between this is very unpleaseant

Placement Experience :

Basically civil enginneering has low placement opportunities and low packages as comparef to other courses. But there is more opportunity in govt sectors. So we can prepare for the govt jobs also if we didnot got placements

Fees and Financial Aid :

There are 2 sem in each year. At first sem i payed around 35000 including semm fee and other fee such as pta fee, lab fees and others. Also in each sem i am paging around 30 k. This fee structure is for state merit students. Oec, sc, st students only have to pay around 300 rupees. But indian merit has to pay around 50 k and nri have to pay around 1 lakh for btech program in soe, cusat

Campus Life :

There will be annual ars and sports meet namelh sargam and kurukshetra in each academic year. The accessibility and availability of course books are vast in library. Also campus offers many opportunities in sports and arts in interuniversity level also

Hostel Facilities :

Availability of hostel tooms will be based on reservation. Only reservation stidents will get hostels in first year. Around 2500 will be fee in hostel including mess charges. The food provided is satisfactory.

Admission :

I got many conformations from other colleges but i chose this one because of its value.. The admission to my college is through cat entrance examination. And the last rank lists differs in each academic year and you can check it on official website.

Faculty :

There are many faculties who are very friendly nd supportive to students. But there are also some those who didnot teach well but they want perfect answers. Mr. Abdu rahiman in civil engineering is a good faculty. Exams are usually little hard. But we can pass if we studied. Fail percentage is less compared to pass mostly

Students are eligible for placement from semester 6. Many of the largest companies such as Cisco, IBM, Wipro etc come for placements. The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

Placement Experience:

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
