Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is b.com honours in finance and accounting.I like the accounting and management subject,I have further plan for career on this specific area so that I have taken this course. This guide me to apply all my knowledge to real world in future.

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 4500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid :

Digboi college is one of the good college in Assam . When We have taken admission in the college in the year 2022,The fee structure per year is 5500 per student. The students who have availed fee waiver and whose parents have income below 2 lakhs and who have ration card or we can say BPL Card,they have to pay 800 rs only. But after the implication of NEP, from this year 2024 the fees have been considerably reduced at minimum for the students who have taken admission this year (2024). Now the students who have BPL Card or ration card or the students with parental income certificate below 2 lakhs per annum are availing free course and fee waiver. Our total fee is taken including various types of fees such as college examination fee? 200, electricity fee ?500, identity card ?50, development fee ?500, union fee ?50, games fee ?50, magazine fee ?100, social service/festival fee ?50, library fee ?300, music and culture ?100,youth festival fee ?100, establishment fee ? 630, contingency etc

Campus Life :

Annually we have many functions in the college . College week is also held yearly.in the library there are many books and journals available which helps students to acquire knowledge and experience. we can issue the books from the library by showing the I'd card. In regarding to sports there is a field, sports auditorium, where we can play,inter College matches are also held every year.in college week many different types of games and .competitions held for the students

Admission :

I had not applied other colleges than this college.i have only applied in this college. i had choose this college over other colleges just because of the good performance of students in the college.the admission process is quite simple.first you have to fill an application form.after that a merit list is out , where we have to check our name.if our name is mentioned in the merit list then we have to go for further admission in the college on the specified date .

Faculty :

The teachers and faculties of the college are very good .they guide each and every student very nicely. They are of very helping and kind in nature.I like all the teachers of commerce department In one semester we have three times exam 1st sessional,2 nd sessional and end semester examination. The exam is conducted in a very well and good scenario .

Admission:

Till my time admission process was totally offline. One need to fill the form and submitted to the college. Merit list is made on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th. Admission is only given on the merit basis.

Placement Experience:

Placement record of this college is quite poor. Although this college only provide general degree courses. There is Not much seen of on campus placement and job offer provide are not very good. Due to this reason many student go for MBA.

Admission:

Getting admission in our college is quite simple one has to make application in offline mode by filling in the detailed application form which is available at the reception of the college along with the prospectus. After submission of the application you have to wait for the approval of college. Once the admission is approved you are required to complete the formalities like submission of fees and document verification. Nowadays admission application is also available online. One reason for opting for this college was that it was close to my residence and was popular in our district.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a placement and recruitment related help centre for Students. However when it comes to getting the students placed with good job packages the institute has almost nothing to offer. A student is on his own for jobs and internships and the college only provides the academic knowledge and degree certification.

The course of B.com here is average and better known for arts degree. There are internal exams and end semester exams.You can submit the paper for scrutiny but not for re-evaluation. The college provides bachelor's degree in arts and commerce.
