Course Curriculum Overview :
Main reason I choose the course was because cybersecurity was what I wanted to do. It does prepare pretty well I would say since they give hard challenges on a daily basis. I would suggest a teaching method where a teacher asks u study a topic by ourselves prior and teach the topic the next day , by doing so the student will find it way easier to pay attention in class since these are topics he tried studying last night. It can get hectic sometimes, there sports events around the corner but u have to give your exam , the frequency of the exams are on my opinion to much for anyone .
Fees and Financial Aid :
Yearly fees in 1st year :- 529000 Tution fees :- 325000 Hostel fees :- 194100 Caution Deposit:- 10000 From 2nd year onwards :- 703100 Tution fees:- 509000 Hostel fees :- 194100 These the course fees for B.tech cybersecurity Every other btech courses have the same fee structure.
Campus Life :
We have festivals like falak and revels every year which are the 2 biggest festivals other than that we have festivals held my students every month . There good amount of books selections to choose from but I personally would buy something online purely cause of more choice . Pretty good with sports and extracurricular , they have competitions very often on campus specifically football, basketball and musical. Students did run social groups but sadly non of them are active anymore
Hostel Facilities :
Pretty good are Hostels have cleaners every where go clean every single day especially for someone like me u has bad ocd it's a big deal . Food is pretty decent and the menus are really good Registration for hoste was a hustle to say the least not everyone got hostel some of them who paid as much as us where sent off campus which weren't good at all , the price could be decreased it's too expensive in my opinion
Admission :
I applied for Dayanand sagar college in Bangalore , I was confirmed a seat , the reason I choose this college is for the reputation it holds and more job opportunities it will offer. No I didn't get rejected by any college So basically u are supposed to write mit entrance exam which is out of 250 I believe, we get 2 attempts to write the best ones picked and the rank is displayed, for my course the min rank was around 4000 for electrical branches it goes under 13000 and so on , the course selection according to my rank was all online and convinient .
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio I would say is around 1:50 which is pretty good. The faculty I liked the most is mr. rajshekar sir who taught us maths , he was the most chilled person I've ever meet on top of that he would connect with every student and then explain which would make it so much easier for us and he wouldn't prioritise attentence a lot. The faculty I didn't like was one of the engineering graphics teachers , reason was he was just explaining with no interaction or such straight up boring. In a Sem there are 3 exams , quiz-10 marks , mid sem -30 marks and End sem - 50 marks.. yes it is harder to pass in our college, the question papers are usually on the harder side which I would say is the worst part about our college.
