Course Curriculum Overview :

Curiiculm is well structured and also you are given option to choose what all subjects you want to complete for that specific semester so it's always an advantage as you can opt to subjects based on your intrest

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements are good most of the students get placed , it's always a advantage to have 9 cgpa for placements , even if you don't get placed by the end of year vit will provide placement assistance for unplaced students .300+ companies are visited in 2024 due to bad market there may be a little issue but compared to other colleges it's decent when it comes to placements

Fees and Financial Aid :

200000 turion fee per year Hostel fee depends on room type you are taking 4 bed NAC it's 150000 with non veg mess There are three types of mess veg,non veg and special and fee defers for each type Payment is made once a year for tution and hostel

Campus Life :

There are many clubs in vit I am part of photography club there are many technical and non technical clubs choosing one club is mandatory as part of your curriculum but you are always allowed to join club of your intrest .youncan learn and explore many things in clubs

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels maintenance is good . Coming to food it depends from person to person , I would rate 6/10 when it comes to food ,ther will be night canteens where you can buy food if you don't like in mess .when it comes hostel fee structure it's high 150000 for 4 sharing NAC with Non veg mess it's varies based on your room type and mess type .

Hostel Fee : INR 150000 per year

Admission :

People choose VIT as it has high placements compared to other colleges, to join vit you need to clear VITEEE exam and based on mark you scored your branch and campus will be decided there is always a option to get better branch but fee structure will be different

Faculty :

Faculty are good with decent knowledge, You are given choice to choose you faculty for the subjects which you opt but it depends on your cgpa those with high cgpa are given first choice to choose the faculty they want which also decides their time table You have cat1 ,cat 2 and fat three exams (15,15,40) and other 30 are internals for theory subjects and for pabs it's 40 from fat and 60 are internals You need to get 50 /100 and 40 percent in fat to pass the subject for theory , for labs it's 50/100

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .

Placement Experience:

At VIT Chennai, students become eligible for campus placements starting from their 6th semester, with placement training beginning in the 5th semester. Top companies or recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, PayPal, Bosch, Accenture, and Intel, among others. In 2023, over 900 companies participated across VIT campuses, making more than 12,000 offers. The highest package offered was ?1.02 crore per annum by a global recruiter, while the average package for core placements ranged between ?6-7 LPA, with Super Dream offers exceeding ?25 LPA and Dream offers ranging from ?10-15 LPA. Around 90% of eligible students get placed, with profiles offered in software development, consulting, analytics, and core engineering. After completing the degree, students often pursue roles in top companies, higher studies, or entrepreneurial ventures.
