Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum is interesting comparing to other branches. In mechanical we studied the automobile part, thermal engineering, machine tools, material science, industrial systems, heat transfer and fluid machines .So we study the basics of the things which we see in our daily life scenarios so these are so relatable.course curriculum is okey but teaching method should be changed in some of the faculties.they should concentrate on the complete topic cover in a semester.timing of internal exams and semester exam are in appropriate positions .

Internships Opportunities :

I do internships in IREL CHAVARA kollam ,the opportunity is not offered by my college. But students got offers in this year through CGPU of our college.Mainly faculties give opportunities to connect with big companies for internship who has real interest in it.

Placement Experience :

From sixth semester onwards the students are eligible for attending placements. The students who were in fifth semester has opportunity to getting internships . CATERPILLAR,SHOBHA CONSTRUCTIONS, ASHOK LEYLAND and some more companies are already came for placements in mechanical. Approximately a 40%and above students got placements in last year .So we waiting for 50% students got placed in this year.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The year wise fees of CET is approximately 10000 .That is because the fee may vary in each semesters due to change in number of subjects and it's credits score. So we can't fix a perticular amount in every semester.College provide reservation and reduction in fees for the students who were in SC,ST category. There are somany scholarships for the students to make their college life financially secure. The students whom were getting E grants scholership don't have to pay the fees. The CETAA alumini giving scholerships for students who were brilliant in their studies and family should be financially backward.Seimens scholerships are a very good opportunity for students for excelling teir skills through internships, industrial visits, the money they got etc.The students who were in college hostel doesn't have to pay their mess bill whether he or she getting E grants.

Campus Life :

CET has 120+ actively working clubs in it.So in every aspect the students got opportunity to show their skills knowledge anything. Our library is very big like a department building ,and we can reach to any journals through it.CET library has an online platform for students to access books through online and read. There are somany student run clubs like every technical clubs like herakles racing, excelerators racing etc and social clubs like NSS ,H2O etc.

Admission :

CET has numerous number of placements comparing to other colleges under APJKTU.CET provide a good opportunity for every engineers who were intrested in technology. The faculties provide information about the good internships in best companies. The workshop facilities in CET is very good and they provide good workshop assistance for proper guidance for students.

Faculty :

CET has a faculty student ratio of 1:25 . Faculties are very much educated so some of them doesn't pay any attention in student matters. But in my experience most of the faculties were trying to be attached with students.i don't like our former principal called saviour sir for not taking actions by his own. Some situation demands a quick decision which is taken by an authority but he never do such thing.always prefer meetings and their decisions.my favourite faculty is Suresh lal sir he scolded me somany times ,but I started studying his topic he never scold me and he took a huge effort in taking good lectures.

Students are eligible for placement from semester 6. Many of the largest companies such as Cisco, IBM, Wipro etc come for placements. The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

Placement Experience:

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
