- The campus is great for students. It has a canteen, fast food centre, basketball ball court, cricket/ football ground.
- The college has a very good library with wide collection of books and a computer section. The best part about the college is patients. This opens the students to having experience and developing skills.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Most of the subjects in first and second year of the degree are common with that of MBBS curriculum. It is in third year that the students start working on live patients. Final year, said to be the toughest of all years, has 8 subjects in total. Then comes the internship period, after completion of which you get your bachelor degree.
Internships Opportunities :
This college offers internship after completion of final year of BDS. This is a period where the student can make use of it to the fullest and work on improving the skills. The college also gives monthly stipend to the students.
Placement Experience :
There is no campus placement offered here. After completion of the degree, the student has a lot of options to consider. They can take up the entrance test (NEET) again to qualify for a master's degree or, he/she can work in a local dental clinic. Alternatively, the student can set up their own clinic and run it.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee structure for BDS differs for government, private and NRI seats. Fee structure for private seat is 4.20L per year, including other charges. Hostel and mess fees are charged separately. BDS is a period of 5 years. 5th year is a internship period, where the college pays stipend to interns.
Campus Life :
The college offers a great extra-curricular life apart from academics. The student can indulge himself/herself in activities like sports, dance and other art forms. The college also organises a cultural fest regularly.
Hostel Facilities :
The college offers hostel accomodation to students. Boys and girls have different hostels. They've multiple rooms with 3 or 2 seater. They rooms are relatively clean. They offer cleaning services as well as laundry.
Admission :
Admission for BDS is through NEET exam. For general category students, the eligibility criteria is 50% or more. Then the student needs to take part in all India councelling or state councelling. You will then be allotted college according to the preference you have listed and based on your NEET ranking.
Faculty :
The faculty here is highly skilled and experienced. They are also very easy to approach regarding any doubts or concerns. The faculty here also encourage us to take part in conferences and research projects, apart from academics.
Interview Experience :
There is no interview session for admission for bachelor's degree. The admission procedure is purely through allotment process on the basis of NEET scores. No was neither a discussion or test pattern held. After allotment process, the student has to report to the college for admission.
