- Irregularities of Buses especially during examinations. There is Lack of Coordination in the administration which crumble things up.
- Late appointment of guest lecturers in our department which makes the student suffer and courses are rushed after the appointment
Course Curriculum Overview :
Most of the different types of interest that I have are present here in this course, and as I have said earlier that I have a keen interest in Law I don't have to think twice to choose this course. The curriculum is not up to the mark for applications in the real world, there are few discrepancies and inorder to match up the level outside we have to put a lot of efforts and leave no opportunities when we get them. Moot Courts should be conducted more often.
Internships Opportunities :
Sorry there are no internship opportunities as far as I know. Maybe I have misunderstood your question in the beginning of the review.. Students like me have to go by themselves in search of internship opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid :
There are Hikes in the Course fees which arises from different facilities offered by the University such as Medical fee, Laboratory fee, Library fee etc. The complete cost can be approximately 1 Lakh or more. There are Several State schemes that are available to apply for Scholarship such as the Umbrella Scheme.
Campus Life :
Our university use to have the Varsity Fest that lasts for 3 weeks or 1 month and are usually held in the month of March. Talking about books the variety is average, however gradual improvement would be better. The facilities in the classroom are not much, only a projector and fans are there. And there are also Wi-fi's available in the corridors. Sports and other activities are plenty but there is lack of facilities provided. There is no quality and the students has to adjust by themselves. There is a Students Union like in other universities, which is a recognized body of the university under the provisions of the University's Act. And there are also many student's clubs such as the music club, the debate club and many more which are very helpful to the students to get themselves expose in various activities.
Admission :
To be eligible you have to get at least 50% marks in 10+2, and should appear for the Common University Entrance Test. Talking about the application process there are about 60 seats, 30 for the UR and 30 for the SC/ST. The entrance exam is not that difficult. An average student can easily pass it if you have studied and are well aware of the topic. I think that the Central Government through the Conducting agencies should make sure that there is smooth conduct of the test so that it will not lead to the delay in admission in different universities especially the Central Universities.
Faculty :
Faculty members are very intelligent in their own fields, their knowledge and experience helps us alot. Its not just about how intelligent they are but also their ability to teach and make the students understand on what they're dealing with. Teachers are always there in the department where we can approach and clarify our doubts and questions regarding various topics.
Other Applied Colleges
Shillong College, Shillong | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Political Science)
This was just a backup... I have interest in politics but I have more interest in Law.
