Likes

The nature around vit is so good and peaceful. The campus is also beautiful and lovely.
The academics in vit is good, like the professors here are so much qualified.

Dislikes

Some professors are rude. Like if they dont like you they send you out of class for no reason.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum deals with both theory and practical classes. The reason i chose mechatronics is on my interest. The curriculum gives ample amount to theory classes and practical classes which help us to gain knowledge and they also give us oppurtunities to apply them in real life. Some improvements have to be made in the course like, the amount of practical classes must be increased so that the student will have idea of what they have to deal with in the future.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid :

Tution fee here is determined based on the rank obtained in viteee exam. The category of fees you get is constant throughout the college life. It dosent increase or decrease. But these fees increase happens with hostel where the fees increase or decrease according to some calculation. But when you sum up it feels the same fees for my education.

Campus Life :

Campus life here is good if you have the best set of friends. There are two fests held in VIT, one is TechnoVIT which is held in september or october and the other one is VIBRANCE which is held in march. There is a huge 3 floor central library which basically has plently of books, papers, articles etc. Each class room is provided with a projector and speaker. And software labs are air conditioned.

Admission :

People must have an aggregate of physics chem and mathematics as above 75 percent atleast. People must write the entrance exam VITEEE in order to get admission in VIT. They can give a option to change the alloted course atleast because a person may not be satisfied with what was given to him. As said before exams are conducted frequently. The first exam is easy. The second and the final exams are bit tougher.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is not that high. But it is adjustable to sit in a class of 70 people and listen. The faculties in VIT are higly qualified and they have PhD. And they also do research to prove that they are worthy. They mostly teach from pdf, except math teachers always use boards only.

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .

My experience In VIT Chennai!

Placement Experience:

At VIT Chennai, students become eligible for campus placements starting from their 6th semester, with placement training beginning in the 5th semester. Top companies or recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, PayPal, Bosch, Accenture, and Intel, among others. In 2023, over 900 companies participated across VIT campuses, making more than 12,000 offers. The highest package offered was ?1.02 crore per annum by a global recruiter, while the average package for core placements ranged between ?6-7 LPA, with Super Dream offers exceeding ?25 LPA and Dream offers ranging from ?10-15 LPA. Around 90% of eligible students get placed, with profiles offered in software development, consulting, analytics, and core engineering. After completing the degree, students often pursue roles in top companies, higher studies, or entrepreneurial ventures.
