The education schedule system of selecting your own teachers, courses and time table
The locality and atmosphere of the college is very good and it's nice to take a walk around in the evenings.

The area is almost very hot during Summers, making it unbearable to go out.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum covers most of the important topics of the subject, they are allotted n hours for completion and most of the professors include DAs relevant to the ongoing topics which help in better understanding the subject.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 304000 per year

Placement Experience :

Usually people apply for internships around 5th and 6th semester, I'm still in my 5th semester applying for internships. However my seniors have said that the college mail gets constant updates about internships.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Tution fee has been increased compared to the past year, it usually is done during the construction of new academic blocks or increase in hostel intake. I'm in category 2 so it costs me around 3lpa and hostel fees for 3bac with non veg costs around 1.25lpa.

Campus Life :

Technofest is held in September which is the technical festival, Vibrance is held in February-March which is the cultural festival. Technofest is a huge fest for techies which allows students from different colleges to compete and win goodies.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are good , we get free laundry every week and the water quality is sometimes good, hot iron in every alternate floor and a gym with good equipments is provided. Table tennis, badminton court, carroms etc are also available to play along with a good maintanence team.

Hostel Fee : INR 120000 per year

Admission :

Scholarship is hard to get , but every semester they give out money to the top rankers of the branch (around 10k). Admission process depends on viteee exam where based on the rank the students are divided into 5 categories with their respective price points.

Faculty :

Depends on the faculty you have chosen in ffcs, if they are blacklisted, it's probably because they don't give out marks easily or are not that good at subject compared to the rest. Choosing the correct faculty according to your needs and understanding also makes a huge difference in rating their effectiveness.

Placement Experience:

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .

My experience In VIT Chennai!

Placement Experience:

At VIT Chennai, students become eligible for campus placements starting from their 6th semester, with placement training beginning in the 5th semester. Top companies or recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, PayPal, Bosch, Accenture, and Intel, among others. In 2023, over 900 companies participated across VIT campuses, making more than 12,000 offers. The highest package offered was ?1.02 crore per annum by a global recruiter, while the average package for core placements ranged between ?6-7 LPA, with Super Dream offers exceeding ?25 LPA and Dream offers ranging from ?10-15 LPA. Around 90% of eligible students get placed, with profiles offered in software development, consulting, analytics, and core engineering. After completing the degree, students often pursue roles in top companies, higher studies, or entrepreneurial ventures.
