- I really liked the infrastructure, hostels & cleanliness of the campus overall
- Availability of a lot of free space like empty classrooms, dining area for sitting and studying during class breaks
Dislikes
- The education that is provided as part of the courses
- Mentorship by the teacher, in my 3 initial years i was not once told by any teacher that DSA is needed for campus interviews
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is good, but the syllabus was very rushed in the last few days. Also, many subjects were not taught in its completeness. There are electives to choose from as well, so you can even study courses from other departments.
Internships Opportunities :
Cognizant - 3month - 15k/month (internship) the internship folks were assigned to different cohorts and each cohort was trained on a different tech stack. Mine was trained in business intelligence and Azure, there were others who were trained on Java, React etc. The allotment is random and can't be changed.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are decent considering it is a tier 3 college, and most folks are recruited in service-based firms like TCS, cognizant, and Accenture at around 4-5LPA. There are some startups and firms that offer a little higher but they don't hire a lot of students. Almost everyone is placed at some place or another, and college is really nice in this aspect.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Tuition fees are increased yearly by around 5%, and the complete tuition fee alone costs ~12lacks. The hostel is also very expensive here and will cost another 1.5 lack per year. So, overall the program is expensive but you can also stay in flats/pg's which are around the campus and well connected by the public transports. The scholarships are given to students who score very well in the MUOET exam and will waive the tuition fee by a certain amount as per the college policy.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very good, there are a lot of fests and events which are organised. There are a lot of clubs which are also present like Coding, dance, music, drama, art etc. The campus as well as the hostel premises are amazing to roam around during the evening. The classrooms and hostels are equipped with air conditioning, good lighting and projectors.
Admission :
Eligibility: must have done 12th in PCM Application forms can be filled out on the MUJ website, and the fee can be paid on the website as well. Reservation is not present for admission in departments and is solely on the basis of JEE/MUOET ranks.
Faculty :
There are a lot of faculties that are good & I really appreciate them even now, Anshuman Kalla sir who taught us Computer networks and also provided the opportunity to work under him for some Blockchain projects, and a lot of professors who taught us in our first year. But as with every college, there are some who are not so good, one of the faculty used to generate random numbers and ask students to come and sing songs/shayari.
Other Applied Colleges
BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science)
Was not able to qualify exam for Pilani campus
