- Our college has one of the best coding cultures in India.
- The overall interaction of juniors and seniors is pretty good. No ragging or bullying here and if someone is found guilty of ragging he/she is punished accordingly.
Dislikes
- The campus life is not that exciting because of very limited facilities provided in the college premises. Sports activities are also very limited
- The location of college is not good. It is quite far from the main city and it takes at least 45 mins to reach main city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum offered at our college aligns closely with that of IIIT Hyderabad, a highly esteemed institution in the field of education. This aspect played a pivotal role in my decision to choose this college. Unlke some other intitutions where the curriculum may still be traditional, our college places a strong emphasis on computer science right from the first year. While other subjects are included to enhance our skill set, the primary focus remains on computer science. However, the frequent assessments, including two sessional exams and endsem exams each semester, totaling to 90 marks, can feel overwhelming at times. There's a thought that having midsem exams in addition to endsem exams might provide a more balanced assessment structure.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are an integral part of our college curriculum, with students required to complete at least one internship to qualify for on campus placements. A wide range of companies, including industry giants like Google, Groww, and Amazon, actively recruit interns from our college. Additionally, many students secure Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) through their internships, providing them with a head start in their career journey.
Placement Experience :
Despite being a new establishment our college has a pretty decent placement record, with an average package of 14lpa for CSE branch. Many companies like Amazon, Goldmann Sachs, NVIDIA,etc come to our college. Our active training and placement cell ensures excellent on campus placement opportunitites, with over 90% of students securing placements.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The tuition fees for the first year amount to 247000, which then reduces slightly to 229000 from the second year onwards, a pattern that remains relatively stable according to information gathered from seniors. There haven't been any significant issues regarding steep fee hikes. While direct scholarships aren't offered by the college, they do assist students in applying for various government scholarship schemes through a dedicated department. The total fees of my education incl hostel fees is 1338000. Personally, I haven't pursued any campus employment opportunities, but many individuals, particularly those pursuing Ph.D, are employed as lab assistants, potentially receiving their edication free of charge in exchange for their role.
Campus Life :
Our campus life falls is not that great to be honest, we have fests being a highlight. Tantrafiesta, the technical fest, Abhivyakti, the cultural fest, and Kshitij, the sports fest, add vibrancy to our college calendar. Moreover, our college hosts various clubs catering to diverse interests. Our classrooms boast modern amenities, with fully air-conditioned setups and widespread use of projectors for teaching. While our campus is still in the development phase, I occasionally notice a lack of certain amenities like a proper sports area and recreational zones.
Admission :
Admission to our college is facilitated through JOSAA AND CSAB counselling, which require clearing JEE Mains exam. The cutoff for general students typically ranges from 20k to 40k. Securing a rank of 32k in JEE Mains granted me admission to this esteemed institution. The admission process proceeded seamlessly, without any notable hindrances or concerns.
