  • The sem is a bit rushed and we are not getting enough time to prepare or study for exams.Because of this we are not getting expected results.
  • This is not a 24 hr campus and our access to certain amenities is limited beyond a point.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Electronics and Communication (B-Tech) course in our college is a 8 semester course which emphasizes on both theory and practical applications. This course helps us to gain knowledge on every electronics related areas such as microcontrollers, microprocessors, VLSI, Logic Circuits, Verilog languages, Digital systems etc. At our department we have a number of various laboratories for various electronics related areas. We have both theory and lab exams conducted every semester. We have opportunity to do projects from 6th sem itself apart from our main project in last year. One suggestion I have is that couse must focus more on practicals rather than theory.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships can be attended from second year. The main internship offered in our college are from Texas Instruments, Infosys, Google etc. Many internships also provide us with stipends. We also have internship opportunities at TrEST. These internships are very useful in time of placements as companies are very impressed by these in our resumes.

Placement Experience :

From 6th semester one day celebrable for campus placements more than 200 + Companies have visited the college during last 5 years and have provided placement for about 1500 + students. Major recruiters include Amazon, Google, Texas instrumentation Shobha construction, Larsen and Turbo, Saint Gobain etc. College has offered the highest package of about 33 lakh per annum for the EC department.Average package provide is 6 lach per annum. My plan is to get placed in a good company but even if I am not able to get into this couse offers wide opportunities as one can pursue higher studies and be successful in our career

Fees and Financial Aid :

On the time of admission one needs to pay 9500 rupees and on each semester there is semester registration fee about 7000 rupees and we also have an exam registration fee which is about 3000 rupees. The exam regiatration fee depends on number of subjects. There are many scholarships for students based on their economic backgroud and caste reservations. One such scholarship is E-Grantz provided for economically backward students. It provides an amount of 25000 each semester to the applicable student. There are also scholarships for girls like Pragiti

Campus Life :

Campus life at CET is a very memorable one. There are many opportunities in our college not only for improving technical skills also for improving our co-curricular skills also. It is a place where we can showcase our skills, interact with people and have a peaceful environment. Talking of social interactions, our college consists of students from various part of India such as Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar, Bangaluru, etc.We have various clubs of our college including we are various clubs for technical as well as co-curricular activities. Some of them are IEEE, IEDC, ASME, Tinkerhub, Cetalks. Two main events in our college includes our technical fest drishti which includes workshops, hackathons, expos, proshows, etc. and cultural fest dhwani which also includes various competitions. There is also technical library in our college.

Admission :

7Eligibility of the course is one needs to complete 12th grade and then must crack the KEAM entrance exam conducted by CEE.The exam includes two papers-One physics and chemistry paper and secondly a mathematics paper. One must pass both papers with minimum marks.Difficulty of the exam changes every year and all the questions are NCERT based only. After clearing exams we can select colleges according to our preference from the CEE website and eventually the college will be alloted based on our rank. The admission process requires one must appear on the college with relevant certificates including those of reservations if required.

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students. The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree
