  • The professors are a bit rude and boastful. Sometimes they are not helpful at all and act arrogantly.
  • Females have an in timing of 8:30 PM in their hostels and therefore they cant enjoy the night life.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose electronics and communication as there are several real-world applications such as working in transitor and semiconductor domain and also one can pursue furthur education/career in communication services. One can also easily jump into software related jobs as many of the subjects are common. Though I believe there can be some changes like the curriculum needs to be updated, many of the machines and devices we have been taught about are no longer used as better and mordern equipments are available. As per the exams are concerned, 2 mid sems of 20 marks each are conducted every 1.5 months and they are pretty standard and one end sem is conducted at last of 50 marks and again, the questions are easy to moderate.

Internships Opportunities :

The college provides internship opportunities in the 6th semester, with many good companies like Microsoft and Flipkart. Last year Microsoft offered a stipend of 1.25 lakh per month for 6 months . A senior of mine, who is in IT got the offer and the projects he made were-: 1. A full stack project of an e-commerce website. 2. A Netflix recommnedation engine based on collaborative filtering.

Placement Experience :

The students are elegible to sit for campus placements in tge 7th semester. Many companies visit our campus including Flipkart, Adobe, Amazon, JP Morgan offering a handsome CTC of more than 30 LPA. The highest package offered was by Amazon last year of 72 LPA , the avergae package of my branch (ECE) is 18 LPA. Around 70 percent of the students were placed. After getting my degree, I plan to pursue furthur education doing my MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee category is dived on the basis of reservation and economic background. There is no tutuion fees for kids with reservation, they just need to pay the hostel fees. Other than that, general candidate has to pay a fees of arpund 76,000 per semester and hostel fees as well. Many scholorhip offers are provided by the college to help underpriviledged students. In my first semester, I had to pay an admission fees of 90,000 along with 40,000 hostel fees. Many merit based scholorships are awarded by the NITKAA foundation of our college like Reck-66,72,73 and proffesor sp seth award etc.

Campus Life :

There are many cultural clubs in our college like Elad/Hlad (english/hindi literary club), photog (photgraphy club), Colours (mental health club), Spicmacay (for performing arts), MAD (event management). There are three dance crews namely, SUC and LSD (western dance) and NBC (bhangra crew). Then we have some technical societies realted to every branch like TECHNOBYTE (CSE and IT ), MICROBUS (ECE), INFRA (CIVIL), ELECTRORECK (ELECTRICAL) etc. We have three fests namely-: 1. Confluence (oct)- cultural fest 2. Techspardha (March)- tech fest 3. Citius (Feb)- sports fest Our college is very active in terms of sports, every couple months teams go to INTER NIT competitions and some of the sports include badminyon, basketball, swimming, running, handball etc Our college has a vast library 2 stories high with around 10,000 books on every subject

Admission :

The admission process was done via JOSAA Counselling by the govt of India. The application process was easy and straight forward with adequate details available on the JOSAA website. To participate in the counselling, one is required to clear JEE MAINS. I cleared JEE MAINS with a percentile of 98 and 20k AIR and hence cleared the cutoff for ECE in NIT KKR. The application form and all the fees related material was available on the Josaa website. The entrance exam was competetive as around 12 lakh students applied for it and only around 50k get a good seat.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I knew a few people in the same course and they liked it and it aligned with my future plans as well. The course curriculum is shifting more towards placement oriented study and focusing more on increasing the placement statistics of the college. The area for improvement is focusing more on problem solving than cramming the theory to get good grades. There are exams every 2 months and the end semester exams are quite hard to crack if not prepared well and they cover up 35% of the total weightage.

Course Curriculum Overview:

"I would rate the course curriculum as 4 out of 5. It is well-structured and covers most core and emerging topics in the field, but it could include more hands-on projects or exposure to industry practices to enhance practical application.
