- i like the most part is the cultural fests and hackthons and the nature of vit. I go to walking daily evening in a cool breeze with my friends.
- And the the part of infrastructure. Its not up to the mark but its well in hostels atleast
Dislikes
- food provided in the hostels. and there is a food street here where many shops are located at a place and the cost of food is very high
Course Curriculum Overview :
VIT here we have our own designed cirriculum designed for every students. Here we have FFCS( FULLY FLEXIBLE CREDIT SYSTEM) through which we can opt out own intrest subjects with in the faculty we wish to choose. How ever the slots get empty at any time it depends upon the speed of the slot booking . We can study any electives from the basket depend upon our intrest there is no force to take every year specified subjects. Howvever we have to take programme elective subjects which are mandatory within the specified semister that will be announced every semister by dean academics. All the faculty are well knowledged here.
Internships Opportunities :
internships offers are provided in our clg. some people also get internship + placements with Dream offers which is above ctc 8lpa. And a major project has to be done within our programme which is called capestone or senior designed projects which carries around 10 credits
Placement Experience :
we are eligible for placements after completing our credits. After completing the credits we are only eligible for PAT placement assessment training after the training placements gets start and keep sorting the students to hire . almost 300+ companies visited this year. highest package is 34lpa this year and the average package is 5lpa. It completely depends upon us on the way of our interview given.recently 10 days agp tcs offered 8lpa for 72+ students and 5lpa for 50+ students . Most of the students prefer for going abroad to study Masters. here we also have an opportuinity to to abroad after 2 years 2 years in vit and 2 years in abroad which is called 2+2 program
Fees and Financial Aid :
fee structure depends upon the category we get placed Cat 1 - 192000 cat 2 - 300000 cat 3 - 350000 cat 4 - 400000 cat 5- around 5 lakhs ( this was previously there for us it might varies depending uopn the increment of the fee structure. Scholorships are not available . only you can get is quality APEAMCET and get joined through the apeamcet seat then only you need to pay 70000 that too the whole amount will be credited by the government of AP.
Campus Life :
campus life is overall good i can say , here we have many different clubs which conducts different types of hackthons workshops and many cultural events. The nature here in VIT ap is amazing. if you are a nature lover definately you wont dis satisfy of joining here. Al though the construction happens 24/7 its just a common thing for every vitian. we have a library which accomidates a complete floor with the seating capacity of 2000 and a new library construction is going to be started which is called central library. for the details of cultural fests you can get more information on the instagram page named vitap.vitopia and also you can see many reels. The biggest cultural fest of our campus.
Hostel Facilities :
there are different types of rooms provided by vit we can choose according to our wish it starts from 2 bed ac and non ac to 15 bed Dorms. I prefer 5 bed apartments its huge and enough spacious with good ventilation. Ventilations varies block to block. each block has its own gym which is free of cost and also there is a paid gym for whcih you need to pay every month. hostel mess is not upto mark sometimes its like eatable i would rate 6/10 rating for food. mess is seperate for each block each block has it s own mess provided by different catrers/companies. so the taste and the quality of the food varies from block to block.the payment for food and hostel both are seperate only its not combined. let is consider my example im a vegetarian 72k is food cost and stay in 5 bed non ac apartment which costs aroung 60k.
Admission :
Admission process for VIT happens though the entrance examination of VITEEE exam. It opens every year around the month feb or march. we need to apply for that and the application fee is around 1250 . After writing the exam within a week we will get the result ( ranks will be given no marks will be disclosed ). Depending upon the rank eligibility depends on the branch weather vellore chennail ap or bhopal . its very hard to get into VIT vellore. once a seat is alloted that cannot be merged with any other department or branches. For getting admitted into M.Tech we need to directly apply from the website based upon the intermediate score the seat gets alloted.
