- Poor Management System and communication no one picks calls
- Hostel facilities are very poor and the behaviour of authorities is too bad
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialization in artificial intelligence and cybernetics here in VIT Bhopal the course curriculum includes basic ai ml courses and cybernetics along with core electronics subjects but we are not taught all the core electronics subjects and some modified versions which I do not find much helpful as they are basic and do not go into much detail the teaching methods include presentation and tutorials in a lecture method the faculties however are quite nice in ECE mostly but not all
Placement Experience :
Students from the fourth year 7th semester are eligible for campus placements from what I know, companies which come here include Microsoft ,TCS, Amazon, Dell ,eBay, Intel etc they claim that more than 800 companies come for campus placements the highest package CTC was around 88Lpa ... percentage of students getting placement around 65%...I plan to get masters from a better place in future average package for cse is 11 lpa while for ece it's 6-7 highest for ece is 18 lpa in core sector
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fees is pretty high but considering it's a private engineering college it's at par with many other universities the course tution fees is 198000 which is fixed but there are categories in VIT from what's in my knowledge they increase the fees by a lakh each category so 198000 is category 1 fees while category 2 would be 3 lakh almost... For reservation students there are scholarships available while for open category students there's academic scholarship if cgpa is greater than 8.5 and viteee rank is good and there's also a scholarship for students who have topped in Government Schools of Madhya Pradesh districts they recieve 100% scholarship and are known as star students
Campus Life :
There's one cultural and technical fest once a year known as Advitya it lasts three days usually in the month of February it has various events organised by clubs and concerts.There are almost 30-40 clubs here but becoming a member is tough as there's poor communication and they take fees for registering too but they may or may not respond even after taking the fees....while the events held by clubs are average mostly they have hefty registration fees every event...the library here is very small and inadequate for the campus ...the infrastructure of the campus is not good as well there's barely any sports facilities on campus ...student life is quite hectic here
Hostel Facilities :
In the hostel we have small rooms with either one bed or two or three or four or five or six bedded rooms ...there are many categories for this as well the hostel is still under construction and is not built properly the room has a window,two lights,curtains,bed without mattress,chair and table and a cupboard.The mess is not good the mess authority is very disrespectful and there are many absurd rules and restrictions over everything being provided in the hostel and the meals are designed poorly the quality is however okay.The hostel fees is VERY HIGH and there's no facilities either which could justify those prices.
Admission :
They provide admission in many categories like category 1,2,3,4 so on ...with increasing fees as alloted through viteee counseling based on viteee rank apart from that they may consider your jee main percentile and 12th grade board marksheets, the course eligibility is to pass 12th grade and have appeared for viteee exam based on your ranking they allot you the branches from your priority order of courses they provide many specialisation courses in CSE and also Electronics they have Aerospace, Biotechnology and Architecture too,Viteee exams occurs once a year a centre is provided to give the exam offline the admission process however may not require viteee entrance too if the course has empty seats..the number of seats in the college is increased every year by some margin to offer even more admissions.Areas of improvement in the admission process would include their management is bad they don't recieve calls often and don't reply to emails making it difficult for students
