- I hate the madatory attendance policy, if it wasn't for that it would be more chill.
- I hate some part of our infrastructure as the canteen sucks and variety of on campus food is also less
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course was very flexible and it gives me enough time to focus on myself, the only downsides would be old syllabus which sometimes does not help in real world, the course pretty much enables one to step out in real industries and learn from real world. The teaching is good with ample of classes and labs. There are midterms and endterms along with assignments and projects on which a student is graded on. Mid terms and end terms are both held once in each semenster and whole course consists of 8 semesters. The examinations are on good level and one will have to put in efforts to score good marks.
Internships Opportunities :
Interships rounds only happens in the 5th semester and there are number of companies coming to hire students with different skillset, mainly the tech companies really pay well and most kids aim for that though there are cgpa cutoffs too so it needs to be taken care of.
Placement Experience :
Placement rounds usually happens during final year and internships rounds in 3rd year of college,by 8th semester companies starts hiring students from the campus, the pay is overall very average for core branches while it is quite good for the tech branches. In total 919 offers made which were above 10lpa in the current year for tech placements. The highest offer last year was around 1cr which was an international offer and average offer would be anywhere around 7-10lpa. Lots of kids also ho for higher studies too while I am thinking to get into tech sector after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The tution fee is mandatory for everyone and is hiked every year at feasible rates, tution is almost at par with any other government enginnering college. DTU does provides schloarship on means basis though scholarship is delayed and takes a lot of time to process which would definitely be a downside. The financial aid is offered on tution and is based upon income needs, tution is reimbursed for different amounts like 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% on basis of every kid. The whole cost to complete the education here would be anywhere around 10-12 lakhs and is depended upon if you choose to take the hostel or no.
Campus Life :
There numbers of fests happening in the college with Engifest as the main cultural fest which usually happens in feburary, Yuvaan is the official drama fest, Invictus is the tech fest which also happens in feburary, E-Summit is the aanual fest of E-Cell which usually happens in january, Aavahan is the official sports fest and many more. The library is filled with books ranging from every engineering department and is accessible to every student 24/7, The facilities provided in the classroom are air conditioners and smart boards with good seating capacity. The sports comples offers every sort of indoor sport with a huge football court, volleyball court and a cricket pitch outside, the ground is way too huge with an indoor gym as well as lots of outdoor gyms. There are multiple clubs ranging from tech to drama and there are socities to cater human rights and values too.
Admission :
The admission process involved taking JEE MAINS where the cutoof for general category was 62k rank afterwards the JAC counselling was conducted in which our rank was verified as well as our other documents, the whole process was simple and straightforward as well as quite slow which was the only downside. JEE MAINS was conducted twice a year and honestly it was very competitive though with right guidance it could be aced easily, I only used youtube in my case to crack the examination.
