Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course and this college because of my passion and location. Faculty : Student ratio is around 1 : 80(1 teacher in a class of 80) Faculty are experienced, but they are more strict and don't care about your future until you show that you are worthy of caring for type. Qualification and Teaching methods are just the same as that we experienced from JEE coaching/School. Midterms are easy and the frequency of them is once in 2 months, End-semester exams are tough and once in every 6 months.
Internships Opportunities :
Microsoft, SWE: 1.25lac/month SAP LABS, SDE, 40k/month Texas Instruments, 60k/month Projects may differ from working on the frontend of the website till using Azure or such similar services and solving the problems of company.
Placement Experience :
Placements are going well. Internship opportunities are also available. Students get hired from the 5th semester(for internship) Names of companies visited: Google, 1 offer Microsoft, 17 offers, Amazon, 18 offers Goldman Sachs, 2 offeres percentage of students getting palaced depends on the branch, for CS it is 80%(Refer the college website for exact numbers and for other branches) I plan on joining a product-based company and working my way into that.
Fees and Financial Aid :
There is no fee hike policy, the cost to study is in the academic section on NIT Kurukshetra's Official website(A PDF containing fees for each semester. Students can apply for Education loans (There is an SBI bank inside the college that will tell you all the required information about it) Regarding the Scholarship, the college provides a scholarship of 5,000/- for 2 institute toppers from each branch of each year. There are internship opportunities as well as good placements on the campus.
Campus Life :
There are 2 main fests in my college, Confluence (Cultural Fest) and Techspardha (Technical Fest). Confluence is conducted in mid-October and Techspardha in mid-January. The library typically offers students all the books that are required for the semester. students just have to buy notebooks for classes. Classroom Amenities: They are well maintained, usually 3-4 ACs per classroom, and good infrastructure with projectors in MCA and LHC classrooms. Sports and Extracurricular Activities: The campus offers sports facilities and a range of extracurricular activities There are many clubs and societies in NIT Kurukshetra. Robotics club: EMR Musical: MCC Societies: Microbus, Technobyte etc Refer College's official website.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are well maintained. Single, double, and triple seater are available. Meals are better in some hostels (H-7,8,9) but bad in some others (H-10) It is pure Veg meal and the quality of the food is okayish. Registration for a hostel is done in warden's office, it is a 5 minute step. It is 30k per semeter(for mess fee and hostel rent)
Admission :
It was through JEE Mains, that I applied for it from their Official website. When I gave JEE Mains, I had 4 attempts. I think less number of attempts would be better. After declaring the results, I went to JoSAA seat allocation and gave my preferred list of colleges and branches.
